It takes around one full day to go around the city of Nairobi. There is this small commercial area that looks exactly like all other city centers. Not far out the radius though without transition, we walked right into these slums. I took some time documenting the true Kenyan-living condition scenes that are usually overseen by tourists and locals.

IMG_1266Trees and forests are not common in Nairobi. We still managed to find  Karura Forest around where UN office and all the embassies are. There are numbers of trails and it can take from half an hour to hours to hike the forest.

A popular spot in the city is the monkey park. It’s free! People sell nuts here for people who want to feed them.

Then we caught them feeding at the  elephant orphanage

Not too far from it there’s the Giraffe center. Then Ended my trip at alchemist for some drinks and live music. This is where a lot of expats and music fans would come during the weekend  (or after work) for some groove and artist discoveries.
